In class today students worked in groups to identify certain characteristics of mollusks, echinoderms, and arthropods. Students wrote the characteristics on their paper and then shared their findings with the whole group. Learn more about these characteristics on pp. 66-67.
Today we learned about simple invertebrates in Science class. We looked at pictures of our trip last week to Assateague Island to recall some invertebrates we touched with our own hands. In the picture to the left a student is holding a mole crab. In the picture below I am holding a jelly fish. We also saw blue crabs and ghost crabs. Learn more about simple invertebrates on pp.64-65! Please also review past vocabulary words with your children whenever you get a chance. Its hard to retain all those words without a little review. We will continue to review games in the classroom like "Center Piece", but the more you can do at home the better!
