Tour of U.S. Capitol We will be going on our final field trip on Tuesday, June 5th. We always end the 5th grade year with a tour of the National Mall. We start the day at the Lincoln Memorial and end at the U.S. Capitol Building. Along the way we stop at the Smithonsian Museum of American History where we learn about all the different eras of American history in one place! There are many amazing artifacts there including George Washington's uniform, the desk that Robert E. Lee signed signed the surrender papers at the end of the Civil War, and the last Huey Helicopter flown in Vietnam.
