Today we put our final touches on our Star Spangled Banner Trail community service project after months of exhaustive research. Mrs. Abbi Wicklein from the National Park Service came today to help us through the final section. Students worked in groups to create the historical marker. Groups chose what they felt were the most important pictures and information to go on the marker. Each group also came up with a title for the marker. There were some very creative ideas! Tomorrow we will vote on our top three and send it into the National Park Service. The marker will be unveiled on May 17th! Save the date!
